Virtual Trauma Therapy
for California, Pennsylvania + Vermont residents
Welcome to Bell Jar Therapy!
Trauma-focused care is our specialty. We offer individual therapy, as well as group support sessions, geared towards survivors of sexual and relationship trauma. This includes virtual talk therapy sessions as well as EMDR.
We believe that what you’ve been through doesn’t define you.

You’ve tried to get past it, forget about it, told yourself it “wasn’t a big deal”, but you’re in pain. Maybe you notice feeling scared and mistrusting of others, having mood swings, or feeling down about yourself.
Maybe you feel disconnected from people around you, the world, or even your own body.
Trauma can take many different forms, so often we don’t realize what we’ve gone through until we unpack it with someone safe. We can be that space for you.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. It is designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain. Rather than focusing on changing the emotions, thoughts, or behaviors resulting from the upsetting topic, EMDR allows the brain to resume its natural healing process (EMDRIA website).
You can find more information about EMDR here.
We use EMDR in conjunction with other therapeutic modalities, for some individual clients. Yes, this can be done virtually! If you are interested in EMDR Therapy, we can discuss whether it would be a good fit for you. Schedule a phone consult !

We also have a speciality working with clients who are plural/multiple/systems/have DID or OSDD. Being plural can feel confusing, isolating, or even frightening at times. You may lose time, feel like your life is happening in pieces, or struggle with inner voices or parts that have different needs, memories, or ways of seeing the world. It’s not "just in your head"—it’s a deeply real and valid response to overwhelming experiences, often rooted in early trauma.
In our work together, we’ll create a safe and steady space where every part of you is welcome. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping your system find connection, understanding, and cooperation.

Being in community with other people who have gone through what you’ve gone through can be incredible for healing. Sexual trauma breeds isolation and shame, and being with supportive others can be the antidote.
A screening call is required to be admitted to any group to ensure we are a good fit and logistics are discussed.
